C. DUANE CLOSE II

C. Duane Close II is a graduate of Regent University School of Law (RUSL) where he was elected Chair of the RUSL Black Law Students Association and was a board member for various organizations within the school. He is currently the Secretary of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Council for the International Executive Board of Phi Alpha Delta, an international law fraternity. Before coming to Reynolds Law Group, he served as a Judicial Intern for the Suffolk General District Court and as a Legal Intern and Apprentice for the Norfolk Commonwealth Attorney’s Office before his employment there as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney.

Duane is a native of Cando, ND. He graduated Cum Laude from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Minor in Political Science. He served twenty years in the US Navy as a Naval Flight Officer, flying the S-3B Viking and the F/A-18F Super Hornet. He completed five carrier deployments and one ground deployment as a Fires Support Officer and Forward Air Controller with a Joint Special Operations Task Force. In total, he amassed around 2500 flight hours and 700 arrested landings aboard four different aircraft carriers on both coasts. He retired as a Commander on September 1, 2020.
